No matter how many “Jokers” there are in modern cinema, Heath Ledger’s version has become the most successful. The actor himself never saw the finished film, but appreciated it during production.
Ledger shared his thoughts with Andrew Garfield while working on The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, the last film in which Ledger appeared.

The late actor met the Spider-Man star right after he wrapped filming on Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight. Heath was very happy about this. ‘How did it go?’ And he said, ‘It went really well,'” Garfield said of Ledger on an episode of the Happy Sad Confused podcast.
Ledger died at the age of 28, about six months before The Dark Knight was released. His prediction came true: The film broke many box office records, and the Joker star received a posthumous Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. Even though Andrew Garfield’s time with Heath Ledger was short, the Social Network star says he still thinks about him and everything the actor taught him.
