Computer security company McAfee has released its annual list of the top 10 famous names used in scams to fool unsuspecting fans. Actress Scarlett Johansson was at the top of the list.

Following the Black Widow actress, the list includes businesswoman Kylie Jenner, the world’s richest female musician Taylor Swift, movie stars Anya Taylor-Joy and Tom Hanks, rising star Sabrina Carpenter, actors Sydney Sweeney, Blake Lively and Johnny Depp. Rounding out the list is popular TikToker and actress Addison Rae.
Actors’ likenesses are being used without permission in fraudulent schemes by scammers who trade in movies and music, make big deals on various products, invest in cryptocurrency or sell tickets to high-demand concerts. Scammers also use realistic fake videos of actors to obtain fans’ bank account information or install malware on their devices, which can lead to identity theft.
More recently, we have produced material about fraud schemes on behalf of stars, including Russian celebrities.
