Benedict Cumberbatch’s Sherlock may be about to dust off his magnifying glass. The producer of the series has definitely given hope to the fans.
Sue Virtue, who created the acclaimed re-imagining of Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes detective stories, has said the series could return. “We love this show and it has a future. Maybe one day if everyone wants to do this,” Virtue told Deadline.
Sherlock co-creator and star Mark Gatiss expressed hope for the film, telling Deadline earlier this year: “We’d love to do a sequel, but it’s very difficult trying to get everyone together.”
Benedict Cumberbatch plays Dr. alongside Martin Freeman in the series. He starred as Watson. They last appeared on screen together in the detective series “The Final Problem” in 2017.
