The new Blindsight implant developed by Elon Musk’s company Neuralink will allow people who were blind from birth to regain their sight. The entrepreneur announced this on the X* social network.
The businessman said about the device, “As long as the visual cortex of the brain is not damaged, even those who are blind from birth will be able to see.” Elon Musk also explained that this development could give people who are completely without eyes or optic nerves the ability to see again.
The Neuralink team announced that the Blindsight implant has received groundbreaking development approval from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), meaning the device could soon begin human testing; the company is currently accepting applications from potential patients.
More recently, Elon Musk was involved in one of the scandals: a businessman offered to “give” singer Taylor Swift a child. Rapper Azealia Banks called on Taylor to sue him so she could “make a ton of money and become the richest woman in music history.”
Social network X* is prohibited in the Russian Federation.
