The official representative of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Svetlana Petrenko, announced that a criminal case has been opened against Elman Pashayev. A lawyer who at different times represented the interests of the family of Mikhail Efremov and Elena Blinovskaya was detained in Moscow on suspicion of large-scale fraud.
“The investigation revealed that Pashayev, during a personal meeting with Alexey Blinovsky in Moscow in February 2024, was convinced that in exchange for a large cash reward he had the opportunity to relieve Blinovsky and his wife Elena Blinovskaya of criminal liability in a criminal case previously initiated against them,” Petrenko explained.
According to him, having reached an agreement, Elman Pashayev received a particularly large sum of money from Alexey Blinovsky. The issue of choosing a preventive measure for the lawyer is currently being decided.
