Nicole Kidman attended the closed premiere of the erotic thriller “Baby” at the Venice Film Festival. The film will be released in Russian cinemas on January 16, 2025. The actress, who plays the lead role in the film, chose a Schiaparelli couture dress for the red carpet.
Before the show, Nicole admitted that she felt awkward filming a lot of intimate scenes. The actress had to touch her naked body in the frame, pretend to have an orgasm, and also constantly interact with men. Kidman stated that she was embarrassed to watch the film because of the extreme frankness of the plot.
The star added that despite having extensive experience working in films, she had never felt this way before. “There was a voice inside me that said, ‘Okay, this is for the big screen and for people to see.’ But I’m not sure I have the courage to do it. It’s a very strange feeling,” Kidman explained in an interview with Vanity Fair.
In the movie Baby, Nicole plays the role of Romy, a businesswoman who tries to balance her career and family. She tries to save her marriage with a theater director (Antonio Benderas). The family is torn apart when a young intern (Harris Dickinson) falls in love with the woman and openly declares his interest in her. The main character succumbs to temptation and passion because she wants to be desired.
