To try on a shade of hair, it is not necessary to register for coloring in a salon, sometimes it is enough to use coloring products. Usually there are several types – coloring conditioners and shampoos, direct-acting pigments and mousses. Which tool should you choose and what should you know before using it?

Air conditioning

The most delicate way to style hair is conditioner. The coloring pigments in its composition do not penetrate into the hair structure, and the formula includes components that additionally moisturize the strands. Usually, with the help of a tint conditioner (but like a shampoo), you can neutralize an existing shade or, conversely, refresh an existing one. For example, make the red even brighter. The rules of application are simple – the product should be applied to wet hair, spread with a comb over the entire length and left for 5-10 minutes, depending on the desired shade intensity. Rinse thoroughly afterward. The brightest effect lasts for about 5 days, after which the pigment begins to gradually wash out.

When normal hair dyes need to be mixed with the oxide to initiate the reaction, the direct pigment works directly. As a rule, it is used for the most gentle toning of bleached hair or to preserve the brightness of the color between salon stains. The advantages of the product include a fairly low price range and highly pigmented shades. But any colorist will tell you that mass-market products are less precise and penetrate deeper into the hair structure, leaving a hidden pigment that is invisible to the naked eye. The product is a little more difficult to apply than a conditioner. You need to apply it with gloves and keep it on your hair for about 20-30 minutes and then rinse it well. And the duration of the effect is the same as for a tinted conditioner.

Another way to experiment with hair tone is with mousse. The product does not require additional effort, but is immediately ready for use. Since it is a styling product, it usually adds volume and volume to the hair, but can also make it more sticky. Of the advantages – the effect of the product lasts until the next hair wash, so you can try the shadows more often than with conditioner or direct pigment. This is especially suitable for creating a picture for a themed party or prom.
