August 13 would have been the 125th birthday of legendary director Alfred Hitchcock. Thanks to his films, the “icy blonde” type emerged. The director divided actors into those whose sexuality was obvious to the naked eye and those whose sexuality was mysterious.
Hitchcock preferred to shoot artists of the second category in his films. The director considered Grace Kelly to be his ideal and main inspiration. In the 50s, the concept of the “Hitchcock blonde” – a tall, sophisticated, “cold” and elegant woman – was formed in the film industry.
