The 57-year-old actress is trying to mend her relationship with ex-husband Olivier Martinez. According to the Daily Mail, Halle Berry unsuccessfully tried to force her ex-husband to undergo psychotherapy through the courts so that he could co-parent their son Maceo.
According to the custody decision, the 10-year-old child lives with his mother from Monday to Wednesday and with his father from Wednesday to Friday, while his parents spend the weekends with the child on a rotating basis. The artist had recently announced that her ex-lover had postponed the therapy they had agreed to in May to resolve disagreements regarding the child, in order to take a summer vacation.
Holly and Olivier were originally supposed to see a therapist separately and then have at least six sessions together by June 14. According to the Catwoman star, Martinez’s absence from therapy is hindering Maceo’s development and interests, and she is allegedly trying to turn him against his mother by including the boy in their arguments.
In return, the actor claims that his ex-wife used her wealth and team of lawyers to expect complete submission from him. The man asked for therapy to be postponed until September because he spent July in his native France and planned a trip with his brother in August. Halle Berry noted that the sessions were held via Zoom and that her ex-husband did not interfere with his plans.
As a result, the judge rejected the actress’s request for “absence of compelling circumstances.” The star never managed to get Olvier to comply with the schedule set out in the agreement. By the way, the celebrity has a 16-year-old daughter named Nala from her relationship with model Gabriel Aubry.
Halle Berry has been in a happy relationship with musician Van Hunt since the fall of 2020. The man supported her during a difficult divorce.
