We present you the trailer for the new film from A24 studio “Planet Janet”, which will be released in Russian cinemas on September 5. This is the feature film debut of Pulitzer Prize winner Annie Baker. Julianne Nicholson (“The Hero of Our Dreams”, “The Outsider”, “Mair of Easttown”) stars in the lead role. The film also stars Zoe Ziegler, Will Patton, Mary Schultz and others.
The drama had its world premiere at the Berlin Film Festival, and the film also screened internationally in New York, San Francisco, and other venues.
The plot is about Lacey, an 11-year-old girl who has no friends. The girl asks her mother Janet to take her from camp so that they can spend the summer together at home. However, Lacey’s mother is not an easy person. A woman, despite having a daughter, easily makes men fall in love with her and makes friends with everyone, but this does not bring her happiness. Janet seems to come from another planet.
