Comedian Dmitry Zhuravlev told about his childhood in a village of a hundred people: “They stole eggs to eat”

Comedian Dmitry Zhuravlev spoke about his homeland – the village of Verkhnyaya Kolybelka in the Lipetsk region, whose population in 2023 is 134 people. He shared the features of life here in the travel program “Where are you from?” Igor Dzhabrailov is available on VKontakte.

The presenter immediately drew attention to the earring in the comedian’s ear and asked if the villagers had any questions about his appearance. It turned out that Dima had been wearing this jewelry since he was 13 years old and did it as a “protest against the masculinity of bullying.” “It was a big mistake,” the showman admitted, recalling the fights in adolescence, when they often tried to grab him by the ear.

“My grandmother told me that they have so little to eat that in the spring, when the crows and jackdaws come, they climb into these nests and steal eggs to eat,” Dima said honestly.

The comedian also told how he managed to become an artist, despite being born in a small village. As it turned out, Dima’s mother gave birth to him prematurely, so immediately after the birth of her son he went to college, and his grandmother spent all her time doing housework. “Since childhood, from the age of four, I was left alone at home. Just imagine, there is nothing around me, only my imagination. I think it really shook me. I bought myself a color phone only after college,” he admitted.

The presenter of the Birth Map program said that he and his family spent their childhood planting potatoes in the garden, which they later sold: “I have a godfather, Lech. This is my mother’s brother. In fact, he was the head and driving force of the family, and he still is. On his advice, we planted everything, he bought it and sold it in Voronezh, and we had a very good harvest.”

Together with the presenter Igor Dzhabrailov, Dima visited the House of Culture, where his creative journey began. There he first appeared on stage, playing a cuckoo in the play “Cuckoo Clock”.

The question in the final part of the program, “Where are you from?”, Turned out to be the most touching, because Dima was asked to choose between Moscow and Yukarı Beşik: “Beşik. When I return to Moscow, I will never feel the same way as I did in Beşik. Of course, I also admit that maybe I will move here as I get older. The only problem is distance. If it were possible to get to work in an hour, I would do it with pleasure.”
