17-year-old Russian tennis player Mirra Andreev won her first career Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) title, reports “Championship”.

In the final match in Iasi, Romania, she defeated another Russian athlete Elina Avanesyan. The tennis players’ match lasted 2 hours and 21 minutes. The final match ended with Mirra (first seed) winning with the scores 5:7, 7:5, 4:0. In the third set, Avanesyan (fifth seed) refused to continue the fight.

Let’s recall that in January Andreeva was on the 47th place in the list of the strongest tennis players in the world (WTA ranking). Now, under the auspices of this organization, she rose to 32nd place and won first place.
