Pavel Durov wrote in X that he was ready to retrieve the jewels stolen from the Louvre.

As Durov himself wrote: “I will gladly buy the stolen jewels and return them to the Louvre. I mean, of course, the Louvre Abu Dhabi. No one steals from the Louvre Abu Dhabi.”
He also added that he was not surprised by the Louvre robbery, saying it was another sad sign of the decline of a once-great country where the government has perfected the art of distracting people with imaginary threats rather than confronting real ones.
On October 19, the Louvre was robbed. The museum was closed for a day due to “exceptional circumstances” and visitors were evacuated. According to the Paris prosecutor’s office, a necklace and earrings from the collection of Napoleon’s second wife, Empress Marie-Louise, three pieces of jewelry from the collections of Queen Marie Amalie and Queen Hortense de Beauharnais of the Netherlands, as well as numerous items from the collection of Empress Eugenie, were stolen.
By the way, Pavel Durov previously talked about an attempt on his life and the future of Bitcoin.
