The announcement of the creation of this contest caused a stir last May. And for good reason: while beauty contests are no longer very popular in a feminist world crossed by #metoo, which rewards women created from scratch using artificial intelligence and therefore responding to unrealistic beauty standardswe are clearly moving towards a further step forward the objectification of the female body. Despite the protests, the contest went ahead and the overwhelming majority of the candidates embodied a Western ideal of beauty, with their white skin, slim silhouettes and straight hair. This first edition was organized by the influencer platform Fanvue and the World AI Creator Awards took place on Friday, May 10, 2024. And now we know who the winner is.
Miss AI is Kenza Layli
A panel of 2 real people and two models generated by artificial intelligence – revealed the first beauty contest winner. And the AI beauty queen is… Kenza Layli, from Morocco, who beat out 1,500 other women. Kenza Layli and has over 200,000 followers on Instagram. In his acceptance speech, he “declared”: “I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to represent AI creators and passionately advocate for the positive impact of AI. Winning Miss AI motivates me even more to continue my work to advance AI technology.” Kenza Layli stands out from the other contestants with her Hijab. She also mentioned it commitment to the emancipation of women in Morocco and the Arab world. And you, what do you think of this competition?
