On July 17, the Stanislavsky Electrotheater will host a screening of the ironic and philosophical science fiction film “Contacts” starring Irina Salikova. The actress received the Alexander Abdulov Award for Best Actress at the Spirit of Fire festival. And the film itself became the only Russian film included in the competition program of the Beijing Film Festival 2024.
The story is about the nurse Nina from the provincial alien Vitalik, who accidentally came to Earth in the 80s and became the subject of scientific research. The girl’s life changes dramatically after meeting an alien. When creating the film, documents from the real archives of Soviet research institutes were used.
“Persons” is Dmitry Moiseev’s directorial debut. To write the script, he was inspired by the story of the “Kyshtym dwarf” – an alien nicknamed Alyoshenka, whose mummified remains were found near the city of Kyshtym in the Chelyabinsk region.
