Police arrested Nicolas Cage’s 33-year-old son for allegedly shooting his mother and hiding from law enforcement for two months.
The incident occurred in late April. 57-year-old actress Christina Fulton was seen on the street with bruises on her face. It was later learned that the police came to her house, but Weston managed to escape.
Christina has asked for the matter to be kept private, saying it was an isolated incident. A source close to the family told The Sun: “The family knew this was coming but needless to say it has come as a huge shock.”
Weston was released on bail the morning after his arrest, likely thanks to a contribution from his famous father. The young man is known to have mental health issues and committed the attack when he was in a state of aggravation.
