Renee Zellweger will star in the TV adaptation of James Patterson’s bestselling novel 12 Months to Live. The series was originally called “Jane Smith.”
The thriller stars a lawyer diagnosed with serious cancer. Deadline writes that Jane doesn’t let her diagnosis deter her from solving the case, even if the investigation takes a dangerous and personal turn.
Last year, the book “12 Months of Life” was published. It is the first in a series of thrillers about Jane Smith. The second part, titled “Hard to Kill,” will be in bookstores on July 29. James Patterson also plans to write the third part of the story. It is tentatively called “The Cross.” The film version is assumed to consist of several seasons.
It was recently learned that Kim Kardashian will star in a new series about lawyers. She will be joined by Halle Berry and Glen Close.
