The artist wants to launch a plan to increase funding for music lessons in schools across the country, having already donated millions to the school he attended after his former teacher contacted him about funding cuts.
“I started doing it in my district and we started doing it all over the country. Now I’m visiting more high schools that really need music funding. I’m not that smart. In the real world, I’d be more likely to be seen as stupid. But I was very good at music, so people think I’m good at something.”»Sheeran told the Daily Mail.
