JK Rowling, author of the Harry Potter books, read the script of the pilot version of the series. She shared her impressions on social networks.
HBO announced the other day that it had found a showrunner and executive producer for the new series. Mike Mylod will direct several episodes and Francesca Gardiner will write the script.
“They both have a real passion for Harry Potter. “After reading Francesca’s pilot script and hearing Mark’s vision, I am confident the TV show will exceed expectations,” said Rowling, 58.
JK Rowling will executive produce the project alongside Neil Blair (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) and Ruth Canley-Letts (We Take Manhattan). It was previously reported that the series will be released in 2026.
