George Martin, author of the popular novel “Game of Thrones”, announced the details of the “Knight of the Seven Kingdoms” series, adapted from the author’s story of the same name.
“A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms will be much shorter and tonally different than Game of Thrones or House of the Dragon… but it’s still Westeros,” the author shared on his blog. He noted that most of the auditions have already happened. Peter Claffey and Dexter Saul Ansell will star in the series.
“The Knight of the Seven Kingdoms” is a collection of three stories about the knight Duncan the Tall and his squire Egg. The events of the series take place a century before Game of Thrones. Young, naive but brave knight Duncan and his inconspicuous squire Egg battle powerful enemies and perform dangerous feats.
The first season will be broadcast in 2025. It will be based on the story “The Knight of the Hedge”. Later, they will shoot the films “The Sworn Knight” and “The Mysterious Knight”. Martin added that he would write more Dunk and Egg stories after finishing The Winds of Winter.
