Oktyabr cinema hosted the closed premiere of the movie Major Thunder: The Game, in which Matvey Lykov played August van der Holt, the heir to the arms empire. The actor talked about how the preparations for the shooting were going. He said one of the most memorable moments was night shift training.

Matvey said that he was engaged in serious physical training. “It’s not easy to work 12 hours straight at the gym at night. It was a challenge,” the actor shared.
Lykov added that he approached getting to know the character more from the perspective of what kind of person he is. The artist wanted to understand what could have caused Augustus to commit atrocities. After all, Matvey had to justify his hero so that he began to sympathize with him.

By the way, sports had a noticeable effect on Matvey’s figure. In the scenes where the actor plays with a bare torso, you can notice his sculpted abs, toned arms and chest. The superhero action movie will be in theaters on May 23. Also starring were Tikhon Zhiznevsky, Sergei Goroshko, Konstantin Khabensky, Lyubov Aksenova and others.
