When a house manages to release a bag that sells well, it can quickly become its goose that lays the golden eggs. This is what happened to designer Simon Porte Jacquemus when he launched Chiquito in 2017, as part of his La Bomba collection. Since then, it has become an it-bag, available in different sizes, including the most ridiculously small, the jewelry one.
Other bags from the brand clearly assume a kinship in design, such as the Bambino, launched in 2019, and which looks like an elongated version of the Chiquito. And since it has less saturated the retina of the general public, it would almost seem like a classic, in which one can invest without fear of it going out of fashion too soon. Please note that this is the most liked article on Vinted in 2023.

Except that the cheapest Baby at Jacquemus still costs €620. If you like his design and are looking for a bag with the same spirit, but at a much more accessible price, these luxury duplicates (not to be confused with counterfeits, which are illegal) may interest you.
The most elegant: Lancaster

This Lancaster model stands out for its grained cowhide leather with crocodile print. It has one main internal pocket and two small pockets on each side. It can be carried by hand, over the shoulder or crossed. It is available in white, beige, blue or black and costs €179.
Most conspicuous: Pieces

For an even smaller version, you will have to forget about leather and resort to imitation. Pieces offers a duplicate of Bambino at any price: normally €42.99. At the moment it is even offered at a reduced price on Zalando at €34.59.
The lightest: Gina Tricot

Still in the same spirit as the Jacquemus Child, this canvas model from Gina Tricot has everything you need for summer. Avoid being warm like leather or imitation leather. And while you might worry about getting it dirty, it cleans up pretty easily. Ultra-light, it’s also the kind of bag you can take anywhere with you on vacation, without being afraid of crushing it too much if you ever need to pack it.
