On the occasion of World Password Day, we share with you the worst passwords, i.e. the most used and, therefore, the easiest to reproduce.

I’ll teach you something. Today is world password day. And yes, there is a day dedicated to these combinations of numbers and letters that have invaded our digital daily life. If you are not very careful, maybe you use the same password for all your applications, your child’s date of birth? From your mother? That of your marriage or your divorce? It’s not good, but it’s still better than opting for a basic wetsuit that everyone uses. Since 2018, the NordPass company has been publishing the ranking of the most used passwords in November, as mentioned Numberama and therefore the easiest to hack. To properly celebrate this Password Day, we share with you which ones should be avoided in 2024?

The 10 worst passwords

The French evidently lack inspiration. We are not spared from passwords deemed “bad” in terms of cybersecurity. To establish this list, the NordPass company analyzed the files time spent by a hacker and its frequency of use. These results are still surprising because a “strong” password is often required on any website today.
