Leonardo DiCaprio may star in a Martin Scorsese movie again. The 49-year-old actor is aiming for the role of Frank Sinatra.
According to Variety, the 81-year-old director wants to make a biographical film about the legendary singer. Jennifer Lawrence is in the running for the role of Sinatra’s second wife, Ava Gardner, the publication’s source said.
Scorsese plans to start working on a new film after completing the shooting of “The Life of Jesus”, but there is a significant obstacle. Sinatra’s 75-year-old daughter Tina, the singer’s legal heir, has yet to approve the project.
If this biopic is shot, it will be DiCaprio and Scorsese’s seventh film together. They last collaborated on the movie Killers of the Flower Moon. DiCaprio described Scorsese and co-star Robert De Niro as “movie fathers.”
