Tiredness. One might think that in 2024 some facts will be integrated by the entire population. For example, that a woman cannot be forced to have an abortion or to preserve an embryo, or that contraception in a couple is a shared burden. But no, evidently this is not yet well understood by everyone. Proof with the high-end thread posted by streamer @Charlees_LoL on X.
Her ex tells her she’s pregnant and there’s drama
For a bit of context, here’s what @Charlees_LoL is complaining about: He’s been in a relationship with a young woman for several months. During this relationship, she admitted to him that she would like to have children one day. To which he replies that she doesn’t want him, and she makes her promise that if she gets pregnant by him one day, she will have an abortion. She accepts. Okay, first Red flag.

Long messages followed explaining that this young woman had probably “given him a child behind her back” (second Red flag) while yes-yes, she promised that she would have an abortion if she got pregnant. If it turns out, she had done it too sworn and all, darling.
His ex is pregnant and doesn’t want to have an abortion
In the rest of the discussion, Charles is exhausted: his ex is pregnant, he doesn’t want to have an abortion, even his mother-in-law told him he “got screwed”, it’s the end of the beans. He tries to dissuade the ex from the decision to keep the child, with ” it would ruin my life and potentially that of the child who will have to grow up without a father ” (third Red flag).
Finally the message from the young woman in question arrives, after the appointment with the gynecologist for the dating ultrasound (the one that gives the date of conception of the unborn child):

A message we can’t anymore clear: she will keep the child, she has decided, she leaves the door open for him if he wants to commit, but he has no obligation.
Things are explained calmly, the young woman doesn’t ask anything, everything is fine, right?
It’s 2024 and guys still blame women for their choices
NO. The streamer is at the end of his tether and even mentions his desire to end his life if the baby is born. Far be it from us to make fun of his suicidal desire (it’s definitely not funny), we should perhaps suggest that Charlees_Lol distance himself from the situation:
- If he wishes, he cannot have any involvement in the life of the unborn child.
- He cannot force a woman to have an abortion or keep a child.
- If her desire not to have children was so strong, perhaps she should consider contraception, with condoms or any other technique available to her. Rather than let the blame fall solely on his ex-partner who had communicated to him her desire to have a child.
It’s 2024 and the guys continue to blame women for their choices, faced with a situation that two of them could have controlled. It’s a bit like wanting butter, money for butter, and then complaining because then the URSSAF has to pay.
When you live in a heterosexual couple, where the risks of causing pregnancy through unprotected sex are great, you should not come to cry and complain about those who are making a decision about their future life and their body. It’s a little too easy. Fatigue, we tell you.
