‘I was sure he hated me’: Daniel Radcliffe admits he was terrified of Alan Rickman on the set of ‘Harry Potter’

Daniel Radcliffe, the leading actor in the legendary Harry Potter series, was horrified by his former colleague in the form of Professor Severus Snape. The artist talked about this in the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast.

“I was so scared of Alan Rickman. So how can you not be afraid of him with such and such a voice? You forget how low it is until it resonates with you,” the actor said. He added that he experienced this situation during the shooting of the first three episodes of Harry Potter. “I was sure he hated me,” Daniel Radcliffe said.

The actor, along with the podcast hosts, watched Alan Rickman’s interview shortly before his death. The artist shared his thoughts about his young colleagues. He said he felt “tremendous pride” when he learned of Radcliffe’s success on Broadway, and also highlighted the tremendous pressure young actors feel.

According to Radcliffe, Rickman returned early from vacation to join the production. It is revealed that Alan went to all of Daniel’s performances until his death. The artists discussed all the performances together.
