Solo travel is on the rise. According to a study by travel agency StudentUniverse published last December, 58% of Generation Z women say they are interested in the idea of traveling abroad alone.
To accompany this enthusiasm, Time out has therefore revealed its ranking of the best destinations for traveling alone as a woman, based on safety and practicality criteria (the media favors, for example, places where there are well-defined hiking trails and where you can easily meet other travelers or places welcoming locals).
In first place is Sri Lanka, followed by Portugal
It is therefore Sri Lanka that occupies the first position in the ranking, followed by Portugal. These two popular destinations are guaranteed to meet people and enjoy breathtaking scenery, American media attest.
In total, Time out list nine destinations. In order: Sri Lanka, Portugal, Czech Republic, Japan, Guatemala and Vietnam. Grab your backpacks!
