That night, the 96th Academy Awards ceremony took place at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles. Over the years, the red carpet of the main film event has given the world iconic images, which have subsequently been discussed, quoted and remembered many times. Audrey Hepburn in Givenchy in 1954, Grace Kelly in Edith Head’s creation in 1955 and Sharon Stone in Gap in 1998 – the looks of these actresses went down in history forever and even changed the traditions of the carpet at one time. Learn more about conical images throughout the history of the Oscars in our material.
First of all, let’s start the review of the piece, oddly enough, with the piece itself. Last year, Oscar organizers decided to break with tradition and abandon the classic red in favor of champagne. And I must say, not many people appreciated such a move at that time. Therefore, this year they returned to what they were trying to escape from in 2023.
There were a lot of hopes for the bright and spectacular Oscars red carpet this year. We were at least waiting for the appearance of Margot Robbie, the main star of last year’s red carpet, aka our modern Barbie. Everyone was surprised when the actor appeared at the awards ceremony mourning the deaths of black people (today he was not nominated for his role in the sensational film, so this gesture looks quite symbolic). Speaking of black, this color dominated the Oscars this year. The first to start this dramatic parade was Vanessa Hudgens, who decided to announce her pregnancy at the Oscars in an elegant and rather modest black dress. And after that it was impossible to stop the stars: Eva Longoria, Jamie Lee Curtis, Sandra Hüller, Greta Lee and many others chose this color.

This Oscar could not have done without barbicore. America Ferrera, who is preparing to receive the ‘Best Supporting Actress’ statuette in the Barbie movie, also supported the fading trend of pink. She was followed by Ariana Grande in “delight” Giambattista Valli, Leah Lewis in flying Lever Couture and Zendaya in Armani Prive.
