Today, the last accusation against the Çekalin family was dropped. “Today, the criminal case against the Chekalins was concluded in the second part on charges of money laundering,” the human rights activist said. He added that the case was closed “because there was no criminal element in the actions of those involved.” So their accounts will be unblocked soon.
Let us remind you that two criminal cases were opened against Valeria and Artem Chekalin by the Investigative Committee of Russia in March 2023. The first is tax evasion of 311 million rubles, and the second is laundering of 130 million rubles.
