This is a shameless complaint to say the least. Jonathan Davalwho is serving a 25-year prison sentence for the murder of his wife Alexia, filed a defamation complaint against the latter’s mother and sisterrevealed theFrench media agency. This, because of the comments they made in the documentary series Alexia, our daughterbroadcast on Canal+.
Inside, Isabella FouillotAlexia’s mother, e Stefania Gayhis sister, introduces “an unprecedented version of the story unequivocally accusing Jonathann Daval of having deliberately poisoned his wife to cause the miscarriage suffered by Alexia Daval », specifies the text of the complaint consulted by AFP, while during the trial the possibility of Alexia Daval’s possible poisoning was excluded.
“There is clearly a desire to present the Daval case to the public from an inaccurate point of view with an objective that can only be to harm the complainant, as if his murder conviction were not enough.” ensures the complaint.
A trial for defamatory complaint in April
We remember that Jonathann Daval strangled his 29-year-old wife on the night between 27 and 28 October 2017 in their home in Gray-la-Ville, Haute-Saône. He then abandoned his body in a forest, before alerting the police to his disappearance, claiming that his wife had not returned from jogging. Alexia’s body was found two days later. Over the next three months, you showed the face of a grieving widower, appearing in tears in the media.
Jonathann Daval himself will have to appear again in court on April 10 slanderous complaint against his in-laws. The lead plaintiff is Alexia Daval’s brother-in-law, Gregory Gay, who had been accused by Jonathann Daval of killing Alexia, as part of a family plot. Jonathan Daval finally admitted he lied, six months later.
