Have you ever come across a thriller that relies on a very original concept ? Imagine for example a film that has only one character locked in a box from start to finish. They are called conceptual films, and I love them. For years I have followed them at the cinema, on TV and on platforms. It must be said that they are very rare. But the ones I found matter among the best films I’ve seen in my life (and good news: some are immediately available on the platforms.)

The one guilty is a Danish thriller released in 2018. The film was such a success with the public that the Americans made a remake of it with Jake Gyllenhaal. The film follows for 1h30 a police officer who receives a call of a woman being kidnapped. From his office, he only has his phone, his imagination and his intelligence to save her. This session ended with a specific scenario promises to make you live a rollercoaster of emotions, from suspense to fear and above all to surprise. Unless you have Jake Gyllenhaal as your sole criteria for choosing a movie, we highly recommend the original 2018 version.
