Film screening at Bijou on Sunday:
There is a belief in America that every year on the second day of February, marmots come out of their holes to find out whether spring has come. Phil Connors, the weather forecaster for one of the major television channels, has to go to this ceremony in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, every year. He’s sick to death of it: Every year it’s the same thing, again this provincial town, again these people and this marmot. But this time everything will be completely different, because on the 2nd of February, Phil will have to live for ten years, waking up on the same day over and over again. And only a real and sincere feeling can destroy this closed circle of time. Thanks to this film, the slogan “Groundhog Day” emerged, meaning similar gray daily life.
The movie screening starts at 20.00.
