Director Martin Scorsese admitted that he does not watch the premieres of his films because of his short stature and loud people. He talked about this in an interview with Variety.

“I don’t do that. People in movies talk and move a lot. And I’m short (About 160 cm – Note ed.) and usually there is a big person in front of me. It’s the same on Broadway; I can’t go to the theatre. Someone sits in front of me and I can no longer see the stage or hear the performance. I’ve noticed at regular screenings that the audience is noisier than before. But maybe, in fact, it was always like this – in the 50s we could comment out loud on what was happening on the screen,” said the famous director.

Let’s remember that Martin Scorsese’s last film, Killers of the Flower Moon, was released in December 2023, and since then the film has grossed more than 150 million dollars. On January 23, Oscar nominations were announced, with Scorsese’s film competing for the best picture title.
