But according to People, Jamie is afraid to testify and is hiding from the pop diva’s lawyers. He did not appear in any of the eight hearings. “Mr. Spears cannot hide from his obligations forever. He used his daughter’s money for thirteen years, now he will have to pay the legal costs himself,” said Britney’s lawyer.
Note that the star has been under guardianship since 2008 after a series of general breakdowns. Last summer, she first appeared in court, where she accused her father of ill-treatment: according to the singer, she was forced to act against her will, take psychotropic drugs and birth control pills, and was denied access to social networks.
