Renaming the Gainsbourg metro would cost 1 million euros, the municipality responds to the 15,500 signatories

More than 15,500 signatories rallied against the name of this new station, called Serge Gainsbourg. Faced with demands from feminist activists, the municipality of Lilas acknowledged the ethical reluctance to pay homage to a controversial figure, but withdrew behind budgetary arguments to justify keeping this name.
