Here’s a new photo from Ghostbusters: The Frozen Empire which gives us our best look yet at the fan-favorite Green Ghost character, Slimer. It seems like this character will continue to cause all kinds of hijinks.
There’s a good chance Slimer will have a decent role in this movie. With Bill Murray coming back, I’m very excited to see Dr. Venkman come face to face with Slimer! It has to happen in this movie!
The director of the film Gil Kenan (House of Monsters) recently shared it Ghostbusters: The Frozen Empire is partially inspired by the classic 1980s animated series The real Ghostbustersand Slimer was a staple of that show, so it would make sense to see him get some good screen time in this sequel.
The real Ghostbusters inspired the new film with its “wild, original, weird-as-hell villains.” She added: “We wanted to bring the ease and courage of that show into this film. I think it will surprise people how great this film is.”
