For several days, the Internet has been discussing the story of a cat named Twix, whose conductor was standing outside. Unfortunately, it was learned that he was found dead today. “Yes, he died early this morning. From dogs. Unfortunately, we did not have time,” one of the volunteers told Gazeta.ru. Russian Railways is reportedly now planning to change the rules regarding the transportation of animals.

The company has banned conductors of long-distance trains from disembarking abandoned pets. Now such animals will be transferred to animal protection organizations.

According to the Telegram channel “FPK. Better by train!”, the conductor asked the passengers of the carriage several times, but no one answered the question to whom the cat belonged. He then “assumed that the cat had accidentally hit the car while it was parked” and released it, because “perhaps the owners of the animal stayed at the station and found it there He could have called.”

It was also reported that the cat’s owner contacted the conductor just 10 hours after leaving Kirov station. It was announced that “he has no complaints against train crew employees.” Gazeta.ru contacted Twix owner Edgar Gaifullin. According to him, a travel ticket had been issued for the cat and it was in the carrier bag, but at some point the pet ran out of cats.
