“Office siren” is the trendiest aesthetic right now. What is it and why did it become fashionable to follow business dress codes?

The fashion industry never stands still. Trends are replacing each other at the speed of light, without slowing down for a moment. But some trends are not just forgotten, they are also evolving. For example, while stylish aesthetics were at the forefront in 2022, it was replaced by a more mature office aesthetic in 2023.

Then designers began to comprehensively rethink the business style. Numerous formal jackets, midi skirts, cardigans and pointed heels can be seen in their collections. The fashion community immediately approved of the business aesthetic, adding a bit of office flair to daily life.

The development of the trend did not end there. By the end of the summer of 2023, everyone was talking about Librariancore (inspired by the style of librarians), and in 2024 the rigid office core was replaced by the aesthetic codename office siren (i.e. office siren).

This style is in many ways inspired by the images of Bella Hadid and Gisele Bundchen’s heroine in the movie “The Devil Wears Prada”. Both it-girls wear form-fitting blouses with a few buttons undone, pencil skirts, tight black turtleneck sweaters, rectangular-framed glasses, and pointy slingbacks.

The aesthetic itself also reflects how girls dressed in the office in the 90s and 2000s. The look of office sirens always includes big jewelry, a bright manicure (wine or red) and “clean” makeup (we recently told you how to copy this).

On the catwalk, the office siren style was reflected in the collections of Markgong, Miu Miu, Gucci and Tom Ford. And we advise you to pay attention to trendy images.
