Dolph Lundgren on reprising his role as He-Man: “An older He-Man? I don’t know”

Dolph Lundgren he’s left an indelible mark on cinema with the roles he’s taken on in films over the years, a couple of his best-known roles include He-Man in the 1987 live-action Masters of the Universe films and Ivan Drago Rocky IV.

In recent years, Lundgren has revisited his role as Drago in Creed II, where he appeared as his son’s on-screen coach. This return to a historic role has sparked some curiosity among fans: could Lundgren reprise the role of He-Man once again?

In conversation with CB about his new film Wanted, Lundgren addressed this question. His response came with some lighthearted humor:

“[An] Older He-Man? I do not know. As long as… my costume could be a little more substantial. At the time it was the size of a postage stamp. I think I should just add a few layers of costume.”

While a return as He-Man might seem far-fetched, the site says Lundgren seemed more open to revisiting another of his roles: The Punisherwho he played in the 1989 film.

I actually think it would be pretty cool to see a He-Man movie with Lundgren reprising his role. It’ll never happen, but it’s an intriguing idea, a grizzled old version of the character returning to action for some crazy adventure. It would be fun to play!

It could be called, He-Man: The Ultimate Power, we revisit Eternia where an elderly He-Man, having hung up his Sword of Power decades ago, lives in isolation. The kingdom is at peace, but an ancient evil stirs beneath the surface. Skeletor, thought defeated, is back, more powerful and cunning than ever. With the current generation of warriors unable to contain this evil threat, the kingdom’s only hope lies in its forgotten hero. Reluctantly, He-Man embarks on a final mission, to save Eternia with a new generation of heroes. Battling not only Skeletor’s strengths but also his age-related limitations, He-Man must rediscover his inner strength and redefine what it means to be a Master of the Universe.

There is something new Masters of the Universe film project in development with the directors Adam AND Aaron Neewith a script written by a team included Dave Callaham (Shang Chi), David S.
