A few hours ago, the 75th Emmy Awards ceremony, also known as the TV series Oscars, ended (by the way, we wrote about the winners here). We will talk about bright moments for a long time, but we want to start with the most touching event possible.
The song “I’ll Be There for You” from the intro of “Friends” was performed live at the event. This was in memory of those who have passed away, particularly sitcom star Matthew Perry, who died this year.
Let’s remember that “Friends” aired from 1994 to 2004 and became one of the most popular and expensive (due to acting fees – stars were paid a million dollars per 25-minute episode) shows. In the meantime, read here about what happened to the characters after the completion of the cult comedy series.

Meanwhile, Matthew Perry died at the age of 54 in late October 2023. The actor’s body was found in the jacuzzi of his Los Angeles home. After some time, the cause of death of the actor became known: acute exposure to ketamine. Learn more about how Matthew Perry spent the last years of his life here.
