We waited! The cast of “Maternal Instinct” was announced in the fall of 2020. Shooting of the film starring Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain began in May 2022. And finally the trailer of the long-awaited movie has been released!
The plot focuses on Alice and Celine, two housewives and best friends living their ideal lives in the 60s. But their strong neighborly relations are severely tested when one of their sons tragically dies. Because of her, both heroines succumb to guilt, paranoia, and fear, which sharpens their maternal instincts and forces them to confront their dark sides.
The plot is adapted from Barbara Abel’s novel. Sarah Conradt (“50 States of Fear”) is writing the script. Additionally, Chastain and Hathaway had previously starred together in Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar, but the actresses had almost no scenes together afterward.
