Nike closes its stores in Russia
The American company Nike ceases to operate in Russia and closes its stores. The apparel and footwear maker did not renew its franchise agreement with Inventive Retail Group, which owns most of the brand’s stores in the country. This was due to the impossibility of organizing the supply of goods to Russia in the near future due to the military special operation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine.
Vedomosti reported that the company was leaving Russia, referring to a letter written by Inventive Retail Group head Tikhon Smykov to company employees.

Previously, Reebok suspended its work in Russia, and Levi’s decided to completely stop working in the country. Also today it became known that the British company Marks & Spencer has completely left the Russian market: deliveries were stopped in March, but the brand’s stores continued to operate.
After the start of the Russian military special operations in Ukraine, the Russian stores of some brands that suspended their operations in Russia will continue to work with new names in the country. These include Zara, Reserved and Sinsay brands.
