ABC News Studios adds two specials to “The Year.”

ABC News Studios is expanding its year-end special The yearwhere Robin Roberts will host one program focusing on 2023 and the other looking to 2024.

The two-hour special The year: 2023 airs December 27 at 9:00 PM ET, starring Roberts Good morning America Co-host George Stephanopoulos, along with World news tonight Moderator David Muir, 20/20 co-host Deborah Roberts, Night line Co-host Juju Chang, ABC News Live Prime Moderator Linsey Davis, Chief Meteorologist and Chief Climate Correspondent Ginger Zee, Lara Spencer from GMA and multiplatform reporter Ashan Singh. The retrospective focuses on the most important events and newsmakers of the past year.

In a statement, Roberts said that the Partial Year was “culturally, socially and politically an important and formative year.” The Year: 2023 will address the challenges that have caught our attention this past year, as well as what unites us and it. reminds us of the common humanity that binds us all together.”

The station will also broadcast the hour The year: countdown to 2024 at 7:00 PM ET on New Year’s Eve. Roberts takes a look at the best moments of the past year and looks ahead to the next twelve months. She is joined by Roberts, Chang, Spencer, GMA3: What you need to know Co-anchor Eva Pilgrim and ABC News correspondent Chris Connelly.

Specials include interviews with rapper and singer Jelly Roll, singer Ashanti, Jury duty star Ronald Gladden, Golden bachelor Gerry Turner and his fiancee Theresa Nist, Missy Elliot and appearances by the cast of Dancing with the stars.

Both specials are produced by ABC News Studios.
