SiriusXM has acquired Team Coco, Conan O’Brien’s podcast network and digital media business, including his popular podcast. Conan O’Brien needs it guy. Team Coco staff will continue to produce network podcasts and collaborate on new SiriusXM content.
The deal includes a five-year talent contract for O’Brien to continue hosting a podcast that bears his name and will continue to be widely available.
He will also partner with SiriusXM to create and implement a new full-time original Team Coco comedy channel for SiriusXM subscribers.
The deal also includes the release of select videos from Conan’s podcasts, as well as TBS’s extensive archive of nightly shows, live events, and Team Coco-branded merchandise.
Coco’s team was born ten years ago and has over a billion views on YouTube and Facebook every year. It has an average of 180 million podcasts downloaded each year and reaches 17 million followers on social networks. Your flagship podcast, Conan O’Brien needs it guy, created with Stitcher’s Earwolf, is one of the top five most requested podcasts and has just won two Webby Awards. The agreement gives Team Coco the advertising power of the SiriusXM, Pandora and Stitcher listening platforms: “by improving network rumors and spreading the Team Coco brand to a new audience,” the note reads.
“When I started working on television, my ultimate goal was to get to the radio,” the comedian said. “This new agreement with SiriusXM builds on the excellent relationship started a few years ago with a team that excels in his field.”

Financial details were not disclosed, however. WSJ Experts say the deal is worth around $ 150 million.
