Civil war, what is it?
Apocalyptic science fiction film set in the near future, Civil war it immerses us an America torn apart by civil war. The United States descends into chaos after nineteen states decide to secede from the rest of the country.
A group of journalists then rushes headlong into the field to tell the biggest story of their lives: the end of America as we know it.
Who are the actors?
Civil War is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated films of 2024, and its casting has something to do with that. Kirsten Dunst (Spider-Man, Melancholy, Marie Antoinette) and Jesse Plemons (The power of the dog, The Assassins of the Flower Moon) play the main roles.
Alongside them we will find many of Alex Garland’s favorite actors including Nick Offermanalready present in the series Developers of the director but also in The last of us. We will also find Sonoya Mizuno (Ex machina, Developers) OR Cailee Spaenythat you know without knowing it since it is its face Priscilla in Sofia Coppola’s highly anticipated film, also scheduled for release in 2024.

Ex machina, Annihilation, Men : In just three films, Alex Garland’s filmography has established itself as one of the most fascinating and dizzying films of contemporary cinema. Two years after his last film, the London director is preparing to reveal his new nightmare, in a slightly different register from his previous films. If he is a fan of science fiction (with the exception of Menwhich is more on the psychological horror side), Alex Garland will this time tackle the genre of survival.
The director comes well surrounded as the film is produced by the production company that conquered the world in 2023: A24, and which has already produced Garland’s previous films.
When do we go out?
