In RTL’s “Unexpected Journal” program, broadcast on Saturday 2 December, the musician and comedian Camille Lellouche spoke about the domestic violence she suffered and her difficulties with alcoholism.
“I am much more calm”
This is a topic he had already mentioned in the title He doesn’t insistreleased in 2021. At the time the artist felt ” too weak ” to say that it is his personal story that he is talking about. She finally confided it a few months later on the set of Seven to Eight, a liberation, in her words. At the RTL microphone, Camille Lellouche looks back on this episode: “People don’t understand that it’s a long process, it’s very easy to tell someone ‘leave him’”.
Looking back, the artist says to himself “proud to have managed to create a song that many women can identify with”. She says she received “300 to 400 messages a day”including that of a young woman who turned when she heard his singing, as she prepared to find her tormentor. “Throughout our lives we never recover, but I am much more serene and calm”continues.
The actress also spoke about the beginnings of her career, when she worked in restaurants and developed social alcoholism: “From the moment you work, go out, drink and do it 7 days a week, you are an alcoholic, you shouldn’t deny it.” If the topic of alcoholism, especially among women, remains largely neglected, the comedian invites us to break the silence: “We have to admit it, but in France we have a problem with this. »
