Against the consumerist frenzy of Black Friday, a day of flash promotions capable of short-circuiting every thought, some ethical brands work for the opposite. This is the case of VEJA which has no longer participated in Black Friday since 2019 and instead offers other possibilities. This year it’s Free Friday: instead of promotions the sneaker brand is offering one free repair of sneakers, of any brand, this Friday 24 November 2023.

Furthermore, now that the government is offering a bonus for textile repairs, we can expect and hope that more brands will start offering a repair corner in their physical outlets.
