Balenciaga was featured on the New York Stock Exchange last night. And it was a real BDSM craze. Models walked the runway in latex masks and gloves, leather trench coats and oversized boots, and the show itself was a tribute to black. The Balenciaga Resort 2023 collection is based on three elements – anonymity, fetish and, of course, sport. The creative director of the Demna Gvasalia brand has been handling the first element for over a season.
Despite the variety of images, everyone’s attention was turned to the second part of the show, the collaboration between Balenciaga and Adidas. The first rumors of a possible collaboration between the sports giant and the luxury brand surfaced in March of this year. However, they remained rumors until yesterday.
Demna Gvasalia presented the familiar Balenciaga silhouettes with the recognizable Adidas logo – oversized T-shirts, sweatshirts, bomber jackets and even classic three-stripe suits. However, the main item of the collection is the Triple S sneakers, presented in white and blue.
