The literary awards season is almost over. After Snow Sinno won the Femina Award for Sad tigerthe author Anna Scott won this Tuesday 7 November the Renaudot Prize, one of the most prestigious prizes, for his work The Insolent.
However, the 58-year-old novelist, who was not the favorite, won against four other finalist authors: Sorj Chalandon For The Enraged, Lilia Hassaine For Panorama, Alexis Salatko with Jules and JoeAND Gaspard Koenig with Humus.

Published by Calmann-Lévy, The Insolent it’s a novel about loneliness. It follows the fate of Alex, a film music composer, who decides to leave Paris to settle on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. Her exile is a way for her to reinvent herself at forty. A character who is an imaginary double of the author, who left Paris for Brittany, where she now lives.
