Based on a short story by AS Byatt written by Miller and Augusta Gore, the two-handed tale is dedicated to Dr. Alitea Bean (Swinton), a lonely and intelligent scientist who has no family but is content with life. After buying a meme in Istanbul that she is convinced she has an “interesting story”, Alitea finds herself in a hotel room with Jin (Elba), who offers three wishes in exchange for freedom. Their meeting leads to results that were not even planned.
